A new update for FishBowl Live Wallpaper and FishBowl Premium LWP has just been released.
Get it here: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.sp.fishbowl
I have been taking note of the requests coming in, and it seems many of you wanted to see cute little baby fish on the wallpaper. Some considerable development time later, I had this awesome new feature ready to go.
There were some difficult decisions that needed to be made, and some further improvement still to come, but I wanted to get these baby fish out into the wild, to see what you think.
To see the baby fish, first ensure the 'Allow Baby Fish' option is enabled in the settings, and then watch until a male and female fish swim very close to each other (almost completely overlapping). I won't spoil it for you - you really need to see it for yourself. Before long you'll see some baby fish swimming around your wallpaper.
Eventually, the "fishbowl" can get a bit crowded with all the baby fish, so I allowed the user to send baby fish away by tapping on them 3 times within 30 seconds. I assure you that no fish are harmed in this process. :-)
Where to from here?
So far it looks like the baby fish are a hit, and I'm seeing a surge in the number of downloads as normally happens after a major release such as this.
I have some further customization options planned, to allow you to better manage the baby fish, and maybe soon the baby fish will be able to grow up into adult fish. There are issues still to be worked out however (such as how to stop the "fishbowl" getting crowded), so if you have ideas, please send them through :-)
I hope you enjoy FishBowl Live Wallpaper. It is a rewarding project and I'm excited about the potential for new features. I'll keep you posted on all future updates.
